What if...

What if I was going to make a list of things? Not resolutions, but things. Things that I want to do to be better, to create the life I want, to be fulfilled, to love the best way I can, to be the best sister I can, to be the best mother, to be the best friend.....just to be the best...not the best for others, but the best for me. My favorite blogger has a list. She calls it 30 things to do before 30. I wonder if she just sat down and typed it out or if she really thought about it. Or if when she was typing it all just...flowed. I don't know if I can get 30, but I'm going to try. I've got a year and a half to do it. This may be a working list....i don't know!!! Here we go....

.) Do something recreational outside at LEAST 4 times a week...recess doesn't count. Rainy Days are exempt, but have to be made up with double time activities on rainLESS days. - Get some of that peel and stick chalkboard, make a chart, and track this.
.) MAKE something other than food for Josh and the girls once a month.
.) Learn to sew.
.) Let my principal know about my fantasy for next year, then make it a reality.
.) Make a HUGE effort to cook and eat at home during the week.
.) Decide which reading certification I want!
.) Get certified...this is huge...could take longer than a year and a half.
.) Check facebook twice a day.
.) Maintain my one-line-a-day journal.
.) Clean out the blue room and turn it into a real room.
.)Clean out the garage so my car can fit in easily and safely.
.)Don't be afraid to run. If I can't make it as far as I want...it's OK.
.)Run any amount at least 2 times a week.
.)Take the girls to the beach.
.)Take the girls to Mobile.
.)Skype with Milt and Syl once a week.
.)Send a card to someone once a week, even if it's just to let them know I am thinking of them.
.)Figure out how to have a good attitude about my job, even though I wish I was home with the girls.
.)Make time to read a book each season.(Should be easy now that I'm only checking facebook 2 times a day)
.)Go on a trip with friends that isn't about anyone, but about EVERYONE.
.)Drink lots and lots of water everyday.
.)Don't think about calories, just think about eating things that do good for my body.
.)Learn to quilt.
.)Spend more time listening to Josh and less time talking.
.)Procrastinate Less...I forgot who said this..."Have you something to do tomorrow, do it today." I'm gonna try to live by that one.
.)Give a jar of homemade baby food to somebody.
.)Sell a jar of homemade baby food to somebody.
.)Stop being afraid to garden and plant things in the front yard, in the herb pots in my kitchen, and in pots in our backyard.
.)Look into planting things this spring under the "Ida Gazebo" at Gates of Prayer.
.)Celebrate my list being accomplished on a 30th Birthday trip with Joshy...somewhere...just us.

That was wayyyyyyyyyyyy easier than I though it would be. But, I AM going to consider it a working list. Changes or additions or combining things to make room for additions are all allowed. I hope this isn't like a diet and I get real excited and then don't care a few days later. Somebody keep me in check and somebody=Josh or Sarah...the only two people reading this.
